Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September 1983) is an American actress best recognized for her performances as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington from Ohio left high school in order to move into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. She landed her debut role, as Rachel's Room's title character, in 2001 despite struggling financially. She also worked with her brother in 2001's popular movie Donnie Darko. She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her performances as the lead in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) and Sherrybaby (606) of which earned her Golden Globe Award nods.
